Biography

My work has always been about the current influences in my life. I paint portraits of people I know, I make art specifically for people who I know versus creating for a random audience. The same is true in the current body of work. Currently, I am working in monochrome colors, mostly black and white. My subject matter are things seen around me.

During the last two years, I have been living and working in Puerto Rico and the work clearly reflects that. The flora, the animals, and the sea life are all captured in my work. Most of the pieces are captured on canvas but a few have made it onto household objects such as mirrors, lamps, and even driftwood found on the beaches of Puerto Rico.

Some of my work is from found objects around the island, including shells, rocks, and even mahogany fruit peels.

My work is constantly evolving to reflect the things that surround me. I am awed by the surrounding environment and I am never content with standing still, always pushing to portray something new, something different, something unique.
